One of the first steps in trading in the Stock Market is finding a stockbroker.

 

All buy and sell secondary market transactions at the Exchange are channelled through the member firms (also called stockbrokers). They act as intermediaries in the market to buy and sell shares, debentures and other listed securities on the Exchange on behalf of investors. In addition to stock brokering services, the stockbrokers will provide a range of financial advisory and research-related services to their clients.

 

The member firms are licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) and are subject to the rules and regulations of the CSE.
