The Colombo Stock Exchange is one of the best performing markets in Asia since 2001. The enthusiastic Sri Lankan investor is complemented by strong sustained foreign investment interest.

 

Today the CSE is on par with other international Exchanges in terms of technology, systems and regulations. Using cutting edge technology, the CSE provides advanced infrastructure and systems for equity and debt instruments.

 

CSE utilizes the Automated Trading System (ATS) for the matching and execution of equity transactions. The Debt Securities Trading System (DEX) facilitates the trading of corporate and government debt. Fully automated post trade clearing takes place through the Central Depository Systems (Pvt) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the CSE.

 

The CSE is a company limited by guarantee and currently has a membership of twenty one licensed stockbrokers, who provide a range of services. The CSE is a founder member of the South Asian Federation of Exchanges (SAFE) and a member of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE).

 

Regulated and licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka, the Colombo Stock Exchange is the access point to Sri Lanka' s Capital Market.
